About Us

Hi, I’m Nishma, a self-taught home baker, a proud mum of two, and the heart (and hands!) behind Ivory and Sugar.. I’m Level 2 Food & Hygiene certified and absolutely obsessed with all things cake-related.

Baking started for me as a way to bring joy to my family — a little treat after school, a birthday cake made with love, the smell of fresh bread on a Sunday morning. What began in my cosy Colchester kitchen soon grew into a passion for creating beautiful, delicious bakes for others too.

I believe that good baking is more than just flour, butter, and sugar — it’s about care, creativity, and a personal touch. Every cake, cupcake, and sweet treat I make is crafted from scratch, using quality ingredients, and finished with attention to every detail.

Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, wedding, baby shower, or just craving something sweet, I’d love to be part of your special moment.

  • Tendering Family Fun Day.

    Pop along to see what specials we have on offer. We will be there throughout the whole event selling our Homemade chocolate range. Come along and enjoy the family activities that are on offer. Also drop into us to say hello.

  • Rock up for Randall - Sunday 24th August

    Come along for a fun filled family day. Check us out to see what special treats we have for you. We will be selling only Infused honey and Homemade chocolates at this event, so come along and see if there's anything you fancy.

  • Rays 10k Challenge - Sunday 7th September 2025

    Come along and support the locals as well as the small businesses. We will be there throughout the whole event and we shall look forward to seeing you there.
